The warehouse that Amazon recently opened in the industrial area of Acheson, Alberta is the most technologically advanced facility in Canada, the company said. More than 5,000 robots work in the warehouse. The YEG2 Amazon Fulfilment Centre, which opened in February, is the second and largest in Western Canada. The center is 635,000 square feet in size. According to Suresh Kumar, general manager of YEG2, the warehouse is large enough to hold 40 full-size soccer fields and more than 20 km of conveyor belts. There are approximately 1000 workers working here. There are also 25 robotic weapons and approximately 5,000 robotic bins in the facility. Suresh Kumar noted that the facility can hold four million things.
