Indian Navy's new warship commissioned

 

Sudesh Dhankhar, wife of Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, commissioned Mahendragiri, the seventh vessel in the Indian Navy's Project 17A frigate line. Mahendragiri is the seventh and final Nilgiri class stealth frigate to be equipped with stealth features, advanced weapons sensors, and platform management systems.

Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL) produced the highly advanced warship Mahendragiri.At a ceremony at Mumbai, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar said Mahendragiri will become an ambassador for India's naval force, and the tricolor flag will flutter proudly at sea.He stated that the Indian Armed Forces had achieved tremendous progress in gender equality, with over 10,000 women serving in the Army, Navy, and Air Force, and that the Mahendragiri Commission was an important milestone.
