More than one million electric vehicles are out on the road.

 

In accordance with the Motor Vehicle Department, the number of electric vehicles on state highways has surpassed one lakh. The state government has adopted electric vehicles as a remedy to the consumption of fossil fuels, with perks including tax exemption for consumers. Additionally, manufacturers have released various electric vehicle models to the market. With this, the number of electric vehicles in the state has surpassed one lakh. It is also noteworthy that more than 10% of the vehicles registered so far this year are electric automobiles.
