Cases of E. coli bacteria have been reported at six daycares and five community venues in Calgary.

E. coli bacterium outbreak in Calgary E. coli cases have been found at six daycares and about five other locations, according to Alberta Health Services. AHS has suggested closing Fueling Brains, a daycare in Braeside, Bridgeland, Centennial, McKnight, New Brighton, and West 85th. E. coli bacteria have been identified at Braineer Academy, Kids Space, Little Oak, Early Education, Almond Branch School, and Vic Academy. These have been planned for closure by AHS. So far, 12 people have been admitted to the hospital with E. coli. There have been 17 positive tests. AHS further indicated that roughly 50 children had arrived at the hospital thus far.
