China plans to launch the most powerful space observatory in the Northern Hemisphere, aiming for a broader spectrum of sky studies. This will allow China to keep track of astronomical discoveries and improve the efficiency of space research. The telescope, which will be operational in mid-September, was created collaboratively by the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the University of Science and Technology of China. Early warning and accurate identification of celestial objects nearing Earth's orbit will be possible thanks to China's 2.5-meter wide-field survey telescope.
