Russia has made it plain that it is sticking to its true demands on the Black Sea grain trade issue and does not require any further interpretation in this regard. To recover access to the worldwide SWIFT bank payments system, Russia requires its own agricultural bank, not a subsidiary, as requested by the UN. The agreement, mediated by Turkey and the United Nations, includes enabling Ukraine to ship grain by sea during the 2022 conflict, reducing the world food crisis, and assisting Russia in exporting food and fertilizer that Russia claims. The Russian government's unyielding attitude on the matter follows President Putin's recent meeting with Turkish President Erdogan.
