The sale of iPhone 12 series phones has been prohibited in France after radiation levels were found to exceed acceptable limits. The ANFR, France's radio frequency regulatory organization, has requested Apple to halt selling the iPhone 12. The order went into effect. Radiation levels are determined by how well the human body absorbs electromagnetic radiation from a cell phone. French Telecommunications Minister Zhang Nol Barrett stated that he hoped a software update would resolve the issue with the phones sold. Officials have been assigned to ensure that the iPhone 12 is not sold in France.
