Six more Calgary daycares are temporarily closed due to reported E. coli infections, says Alberta Chief Medical Officer (Health) Dr. Mark Joffey. Active Start Country Hills, Kancare Child Care's Scenic Acres location, CEFA Early Learning Child Care South, MTC Daycare, Rennert Junior Kindergarten, and Calgary JCC Child Care are among the daycares that have closed their doors.

Dr. Vic Academy, which had previously been shuttered, was reopened but closed again because the examinations had not been finished. Closed daycares must be cleaned and disinfected before they can reopen. He also stated that the findings of the tests should be informed before children enter the daycares.
