The state's second Vandebharat service may begin on Sunday. Currently, the service departs Kasaragod at 7 a.m. and arrives in Thiruvananthapuram at 3.05 p.m. via Alappuzha, and it departs Thiruvananthapuram at 4.05 a.m. and arrives in Kasaragod at 11.55 a.m. Six days a week, the service will be provided. At the same time, the Indian Railways has announced the debut of sleeper trains and metro trains, which will be extremely beneficial to passengers. As stated by BG Mallya, General Manager of Integral Coach Factory (ICF), Vande Bharat would shortly debut the first version of sleeper trains. He stated that the first train would be available in March 2024. He stated that Vande Bharat sleeper trains will benefit Indian Railways by allowing passengers to travel great distances in high-speed overnight trains.
