Ruchira Kamboj, India's UN representative, reiterates India's commitment to Afghanistan.

 

Ruchira Kamboj, India's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, reaffirmed the country's commitment to peace, stability, and humanitarian assistance in Afghanistan. Kamboj underlined India's historical and civic relations with the Afghan people at the UN Security Council briefing on Afghanistan, as well as India's commitment to assisting the Afghan people through educational scholarships and cooperation with UN agencies.

Kamboj stated that India has sent food grains, medications, vaccines, disaster relief help, winter clothes, and educational materials to Afghanistan and that scholarships for Afghan students are still in place. She went on to say that India has cooperated with the UN Office on Drugs and Crime in humanitarian operations and that India's aid will continue for the sake of the Afghan people.
