Electricity rates in the state will not increase soon; The Regulatory Commission issued an order

 

Temporary reduction in state electricity rates. The Regulatory Commission has ordered that the present rate be maintained until the new tariff takes effect. The order is currently being processed in response to KSEB's demand for an increase of 41 paise per unit. As a result, the present rate may remain in effect until the 31st of next month. The rationale for the additional month's delay is that the proceedings are yet incomplete. Simultaneously, the 19 paisa fee will stay unaltered in October.
