The Women's Reservation Bill was signed into law by President Draupadi Murmu.

President Draupadi Murmu signed the Women's Reservation Bill, which was passed by both chambers of Parliament in a special session. The central government has published a gazette notification under the name Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam to legislate. It has now become legislation with the President's approval. The law requires women to have 33 percent of the seats in the Lok Sabha, state legislatures, and the Delhi Assembly. Within the existing quota for this category, women from Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes will be allocated 33% reservation.
