All Toronto TTC riders will have access to 5G cell service.

 

Rogers has announced the availability of 5G connections in Toronto subway stations and tunnels. This brought an end to the subway's decade-long absence of mobile phone services. Rogers' chief technology and information officer, Ron McKenzie, stated that engineers have developed a solution that will allow Bell and Telus to join the network, despite the fact that the plan, which was launched in August, offers a hurdle to competitors such as Telus and Bell. Meanwhile, Telus expressed delight with the introduction of service for TTC subway passengers and promised to expand coverage further.
