This month, Amazon launched a new system in Canada. The technology is being tested in order to allow buyers to pay after acquiring the product without having to go through the checkout procedure. There will be no checkout or clerk. So it is feasible to purchase the merchandise by paying money without having to wait too long.
Customers may now pay with a credit or debit card, tap their phone, open the gate, and leave without checking out next to the merchandise at some food and beverage establishments at the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary and the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, according to Amazon. Without the involvement of a cashier or a checkout, cash is instantaneously charged to their payment card.
