Calgary to demand short-term rentals to have business licenses starting in January.

Beginning in January of next year, the City of Calgary intends to impose new licensing requirements for short-term rentals. The study will examine Calgary's short-term rental market under the direction of Associate Professor Lindsay Tedds at the University of Calgary. According to the City, the study is being conducted to determine how to change regulations to reflect the shifting market.
