Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Indian para-athletes on their outstanding achievement at the Asian Para Games in Hangzhou, China. The Prime Minister stated that these are true champions and that the nation is proud of their amazing and unwavering spirit, and he wished them well in their future undertakings. Sumit Antil won gold medals in the Men's Javelin F64 category, setting a world record. Hani, a javelin thrower, won gold in the men's javelin throw-F37 final event, and Ankur Dhama, a sprinter, won gold in the men's 1500m - T11 final event. Sheetal Devi and Sarita, both archers, won silver medals in the women's doubles compound event. Women's 61kg powerlifter Zainab Khatoon and table tennis women's singles - class 4 rower Bhavana Patel both won bronze medals.

Sprinter Narayan Thakur competed in the men's 200m T35 event, while sprinter Shreyansh Trivedi competed in the men's T-37 200m event. Men's Badminton Mixed Doubles SL3-SU5: Pramod Bhagat and Manisha Ramdas, and Men's Badminton Mixed Doubles SL3-SU5: Nitesh Kumar and Tulasimathi Murukesan.Rower Sandeep Dangi in men's table tennis singles - Class 1; Shuttle Manasi Nayan Joshi in Women's Singles SL3; Shuttle Vaishnavi Puneyani in Women's Badminton Singles SL4; Shuttle Mandeep Kaur in Women's Badminton Singles SL3; Powerlifter Raj Kumari also won medals in women's para powerlifting 61 kg category.
