The Indian Army and IAF are preparing to take part in a combined military exercise between India and Kazakhstan: KAZIND-2023

A group of 120 people, including members of the Indian Army and Air Force, will take part in the seventh edition of the joint military exercise 'Exercise Kazind-2023' in Kazakhstan. From tomorrow until November 11, the exercise will be performed in Otar, Kazakhstan. The Indian Army would send 90 soldiers, commanded by a battalion from the Dogra Regiment. Kazakhstan is represented by officers from the Kazakh Ground Forces' Southern Regional Command. The drill will include around 30 Air Force members from both sides, as well as Army troops. The joint India-Kazakhstan exercise, known as 'Exercise Prabal Dostik' when it first began in 2016, was renamed 'KAZIND' following the second round. In this edition of the exercise, both sides will practice counter-terrorism operations. The teams will jointly practice various tactical exercises that include raid, search, and destroy operations, small team insertion and extraction operations.
