The unemployment rate has risen for the fourth time in the last six months as a result of this. In September, the unemployment rate was 5.5%. Employment in construction, information, culture, and recreation increased last month. According to the report, the rise was offset by reductions in wholesale trade, retail trade, and manufacturing. In October, salary growth decreased compared to September. According to Statistics Canada, average hourly salaries have increased 4.8% from the previous year.
