As part of enhancing transparency in the job sector, Ontario requires firms to report earnings or compensation ranges. On November 14, a new piece of legislation, the 'Working for Workers' Act, will be introduced. According to Labor Minister David Picchini, disclosing the compensation range will help job seekers assess what types of and how well-paying positions are available. The minister stated that the specifics of the wage cap regulations would be worked out following the consultation session. The minister suggested that government jobs will start at less than $100,000 per year.
