Hiralal Samaria has been sworn in as the next Chief Information Commissioner.

Hiralal Samaria was sworn in as the Chief Information Commissioner. President Draupadi Murmu administered the oath to him during a ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan. At the time, Samaria was the Central Information Commission's Information Commissioner. The ceremony was attended by Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Minister of State for Personnel Dr. Jitendra Singh, and others. Chief Information Commissioner Hiralal Samaria administered the oath to Information Commissioners Anandi Ramalinga and Vinod Kumar Tiwari at an oath-taking ceremony hosted by the Central Information Commission.
