Canada will test its emergency alert system on November 15.

 

Don't be alarmed if you receive an emergency alert on your phone, TV, or radio next week. According to the Canadian Radio-Television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC), it was a test of the country's public warning system. The test will be held on November 15. "This is just a test; no action is required," said the alert message on the phones. The CRTC has declared that there will be no alert testing in Alberta. Those in British Columbia, on the other hand, will receive an alert at 1:55 pm PT. The CRTC said that users in Ontario will receive an alert at 12:55 p.m. PT, while those in Quebec will receive one at 1:55 p.m. PT. More information is available on the CRTC's website.
