The NIA has apprehended a suspect in the Visakhapatnam espionage case.

 

In Visakhapatnam, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) detained another suspect in the espionage case of leaking classified defense material through Pakistan's ISI spy network. Aman Salim Sheikh, also from Mumbai, was apprehended, bringing the total number of arrests to three. Aman was responsible for activating SIM cards used by Pakistani intelligence personnel involved in the racket, according to an official press statement. In operations conducted in Mumbai and Hojai, Assam, the NIA confiscated four mobile phones and various critical papers. The NIA stated that the investigation is ongoing and that if Aman is apprehended, further information about the scheme will be revealed.
