Nirmala Sitharaman, Union Finance Minister, stated that the credit outreach campaign will assist women in becoming self-sufficient. She was speaking at a session co-hosted by Canara and Indian Overseas Banks and led by the State Banking Committee. Union Finance Minister released over 6,000 crore in government aid for state infrastructure development at Attingal in Thiruvananthapuram. She stated that numerous federal programs are being undertaken to assist the impoverished and women. The Union Minister further stated that by delivering government plans to the people through technology, it is feasible to entirely remove corruption. On this occasion, the Union Finance Minister flagged off SBI's cash van and ATM van. The Finance Minister presented micro ATMs to five Kerala Grameen Bank banking correspondents.
