The Lok Sabha received the Central Universities (Amendment) Bill, 2023.

 

The Central Universities (Amendment) Bill, 2023 was introduced in the Lok Sabha by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The goal of the bill is to create Samakka Saraka Central Tribal University in Telangana by amending the Central University Act, of 2009. By offering teaching and research facilities, it is hoped that the proposed university will realize long-held local dreams and advance a broad understanding of the nation's tribal art, culture, and customs. The central tribal university in the state was required to be established by the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act, of 2014.
