Applying for the Canada Dental Plan will begin next week for those over 87.

 

The dental insurance plan details for citizens of Canada have been made public. This program offers dental care to residents of Canada who make less than $90,000 and do not have private insurance. Applications for all qualified seniors over 87 years of age will be accepted beginning the next week. However, there will be a wait before receiving the benefits. By 2024, the government has committed to launching a government insurance program for adults, minors under the age of 18, and those with disabilities. It is anticipated that the earliest program participants will be eligible to submit claims for dental care in May. By 2025, the government hopes to have all qualified Canadians able to participate in the program.
