Three Canadian cities are among the top ten most livable cities in the world. Vancouver, Calgary, and Toronto took their position. The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), part of the Economist Group, ranked Vancouver fifth, Calgary seventh, and Toronto ninth on their list. Calgary fell from third to eighth place this year in comparison to last year's rating. In 2022, Toronto dropped from eighth to ninth place, while Vancouver remained fifth.

Vienna, Austria, is the best city in the world. Copenhagen and Melbourne came in second and third place, respectively.
