A teen died after sliding through ice on Ottawa's Rideau River.

 

According to authorities, a youngster died after going through the ice on the frozen Rideau River in Ottawa. The collision involved a group of four people. Around 11.30 p.m. on Wednesday, the accident occurred near Nicholls Island Road.According to authorities, a 15-year-old girl and a 17-year-old boy were rescued and taken to the hospital. The hunt for two people, ages 16 and 17, was still ongoing when one of them was discovered deceased.According to a police official, the search for the other missing person is still ongoing, and no further information can be shared because the mission is still ongoing.
