President Draupadi Murmu expresses her condolences to the families of those killed in the Golaghat road disaster.

 

President Draupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have both offered their sympathies to the families of those killed in a traffic accident in Golaghat, Assam. Both hoped for the injured to heal quickly. The Prime Minister stated that the local administration is doing all necessary to assist the afflicted people.The government has stated that the deceased's next of kin will each receive Rs 2 lakh from the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund.The injured will also receive Rs 50,000 from the government.A passenger bus on its route to a picnic crashed with a truck on the national highway at Balijan near Negeriting in Dergaon, Golaghat district, on Wednesday morning. The accident killed 12 people, including children.
