Saudi Arabia has been granted full membership in the BRICS club.

 

Saudi Arabia has officially joined the BRICS group of rising economies. According to Saudi official television, Riyadh's membership in the union will improve its image overseas. In August, the leaders of the five BRICS nations – Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa – agreed the group's expansion to include Argentina, Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.
