Canada features four of the world's top five coldest places on the entire globe.

 

Based on reports, Canada has four of the top five coldest areas in the planet. The report comes as portions of Canada are expected to experience extreme cold this weekend. Aside from Canada, only one place in Russia cracked the top five in a new weather report from WX-NOW, which tracks the world's most extreme weather. Yakutsk, Russia, has the coldest temperature on the planet (-43 degrees Celsius).There are four sites listed in Canada's Northwest Territories. Aklavik comes in second with a temperature of -43 degrees Celsius. Environment Canada has issued an Extreme Cold Warning for this location. Fort McPherson is third (-40), followed by Polatuck (-39), and Trail Valley (-39).
