A transportation project connecting Alberta's two major cities is nearing completion. According to firm CEO and co-founder Sebastien Gendron, the ultra-high-speed train created by Toronto-based startup Transpod is well on its way to completion.
He clarified that the project will focus on completing administration work with the City of Edmonton and Edmonton International Airport in 2024 to develop a test track, which will kick off the project's first phase. This test track will be used to certify candidates. The goal is to acquire Transport Canada approval by 2030. He believes that once approval is secured, construction of the full route connecting Calgary and Edmonton may commence.
