Salmonella risk: Quaker products recalled in Canada

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has announced that several types of cereal and granola bars from the popular brand of Quaker have been recalled in Canada due to the presence of salmonella bacteria.About 38 cereals and granola bars, including Cap'n Crunch Brands Harvest Crunch Cereal, Cap'n Crunch Treat Bars, Granola Bars, Dips Granola Bars and Chewy Granola Bars, are being recalled.These are products with different tenures from January 11 to September 7, 2024. Young children, pregnant women, and the elderly who consume products contaminated with Salmonella are at increased risk. Therefore, the agency advised not to consume these products. The CFIA said a food safety investigation is underway, which could lead to other product recalls.
