Dyson vacuum cleaners sold on Amazon will cause a battery fire: Health Canada's warning

 

Health Canada has warned that batteries sold on Amazon for Dyson vacuum cleaners are at risk of fire. First Power 4000 mAh V6 battery for Dyson V6 series vacuum cleaners have been  sold online from January 2022 to April announced by Health Canada 

According to the product manufacturer, SV04, DC58, DC59, DC61, DC62, DC72, DC74, Absolute Animal Motorhead Slim, SV03, SV04, SV05, SV06, SV07, SV09 Dyson vacuum cleaner series batteries can be replaced. Health Canada warns that Dyson batteries are not authorized products.

In Canada, 1,731 units were reported sold. Health Canada says six incidents of fire damage have been reported in Canada as of November 24, 2023. After the complaint was raised, Amazon removed the product from the website. Health Canada advised consumers that batteries are dangerous and should not be disposed of in household garbage.
