Beating the Retreat; Republic Day celebrations in the country come to an end

 

The Republic Day celebrations in the country have come to an end. The President and the Prime Minister witnessed the band mela of various armed forces at the Beating the Retreat event in Delhi. With this, the celebration that started with the Republic Day parade, which was a declaration of military strength, came to an end. 31 tunes, including Indian classical music, were performed at the music feast which started at Vijay Chowk yesterday evening. The song Vijay Bharat was played at Vijay Chowk led by the armed forces. The Air Force team performed in memory of the Father of the Nation Gandhiji.
