World Health Organization commends Kerala for palliative care

The World Health Organization says that Kerala's activities in the field of palliative care are a successful model. According to the government, the World Health Organization clarified this in a report published on the basis of the South East Asian Regional Workshop. The growth of the Palliative Care system in Kerala is through various networks, including providing palliative care at homes. The Kerala model is a strong emphasis on social participation and voluntary work under the supervision of local institutions by nurses volunteering to serve through the primary health system.
