First foreign university to express interest in opening a campus in the country

 

Malaysia's Lincoln University has applied for the first foreign university campus in India under UGC norms. The UGC appointed a five-member committee to recommend permission to open a campus in Hyderabad. It is indicated that the five-member committee will soon announce its decision on the application received. UGC had invited letters of interest from foreign universities to open the campus in November last year. A special web portal has also been launched for this purpose.
