After a child was diagnosed with measles in Ontario, an infant has also been diagnosed with measles. Measles has been confirmed in an infant in Toronto. Toronto Public Health said the baby was hospitalized. No further information has been released. Earlier this week, another child who traveled abroad was diagnosed with measles.

Toronto Public Health and Peel Public Health said they are collecting contact information about the two children with measles.

Symptoms of measles include fever, cough, runny nose, red eyes, and fatigue, and the infection is spread through the air and close contact. Health experts say vaccination is effective in preventing the spread of measles.
