The Insurance Bureau of Canada is protesting against the unfair practices of Alberta's auto insurance system. According to the system, good drivers in the province are being forced to pay for the mistakes of bad people and the system needs to change. The IBC said it used data from a Deloitte LLP report to find that the province's worst drivers have been offered subsidized insurance rates over the past 20 years.

Under Alberta's grid rating system, the agency says high-risk drivers are offered a cap on the premiums they'll pay.
