84560 crore projects approved in the defense sector

 

In the defense sector, the central government has approved projects worth Rs 84,560 crore, including fighter jets and surveillance systems. The deal is to buy new weapons and equipment for the Army, Air Force, Navy and Coast Guard. The plan also aims to procure advanced defense equipment and other systems, including more air-to-air refueling aircraft and a medium-range surveillance system. Most of the contracts have been awarded to Indian companies.
