Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Jammu tomorrow; Development projects worth 35,500 crores will be submitted to the country

PM Narendra Modi to visit Jammu tomorrow. Inauguration and foundation stones of projects worth Rs 30,500 crore will be performed in health, education, rail, road and infrastructure sectors. Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), constructed at a cost of over Rs 1,660 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana at Vijaypur (Samba) in Jammu. The new AIIMS consists of 720 beds, a 125-seat medical college, a 60-seat nursing college and a 30-bed AYUSH block.

The aim is to ensure high quality of care to patients including 18 specialties and 17 super specialties. The Prime Minister will inaugurate road projects including Banihal-Khari-Sambar-Sangaldan rail line and electrification of Baramulla-Sringar-Banihal-Sangaldan line, Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway and Srinagar Ring Road. The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone for a new terminal at the Jammu airport spread over 40,000 square meters with modern facilities that will accommodate around 2000 passengers.
