Home prices are rising fast in Calgary: report

Calgary's resale real estate market is one of the municipalities with price gains for single-family detached condominiums and apartment condominiums, according to a new study by Point to Home. A study of 67 Canadian municipalities between 2022 and 2023 found Calgary to be the city in Canada with the fastest growing home prices. The median price of a single-family detached home in Calgary will increase 12 per cent to $662,250 in 2023 compared to 2022, according to the report. Netgain was $26,800. The average price of an apartment in the city increased by 19 percent. This is the highest among all municipalities. The apartment is priced at $321,400. There was an increase of about $51,600.

In Toronto, the median single-family home increased 0.4 per cent to $1,525 million. Vancouver's resale market held up well last year.
