India's own space station by 2035; Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that in the future, an Indian will land on the moon

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that it is a proud moment to introduce India's astronauts for the Gaganyaan mission and that the astronauts represent India's adventure. The prime minister also said that in the near future, the mission of landing Indian astronauts on the moon on India's own rocket will become a reality. The Prime Minister said that the Gaganyaan mission will determine the future of generations to come and India will have its own space station by 20235.

The Prime Minister added that the Gaganyaan mission team members are the pride of India. Air Force Group Captain Prashanth Balakrishnan, Group Captain Angad Pratap, Ajit Krishnan and Wing Commander Subhanshu Shukla, who are natives of Palakkad, are training for the Gaganyaan mission. Narendra Modi made the announcement by inviting all four of them to the stage at the function held at Thumpa VSS. Prime Minister Narendra Modi presented Astronaut Badges to the four selected astronauts for the Gaganyaan mission. Prashant Balakrishnan, a Malayalee, will lead the team for the Gaganyaan Yatra.
