Toronto shooting: Confirmation of slain man from B.C

 

Toronto police have identified Jasmit Badesha, 25, of Mission, British Columbia, as the man who was shot and killed in Rexdale, Toronto late Sunday night. Badesha was found shot in the parking lot of an apartment building near Bergamot Drive. Police said that efforts were made to save Badesh's life, but he succumbed to his injuries. Police say there have been 12 homicides in Toronto this year, including Badesh's death.

The identity of the suspect or the motive for the killing has not been released. An investigation into the incident has been launched and anyone with information is asked to call 416-808-7400.
