Zomato gets GST notice, fine to pay Rs 8.6 crore

 

Delhi: Food delivery app Zomato has been served with a Goods and Services Tax (GST) penalty notice. Zomato reveals that it has received a GST order from the Deputy Commissioner of State Tax, Gujarat.

4,04,42,232 and a penalty of Rs 41,66,860, according to Zomato's filing. These sums add up to a total of Rs 8,57,77,696, which is approximately Rs 8.6 crore. The order requires payment. The order follows an audit of GST returns and accounts.
