Mohanlal has announced that he will be a part of the organization on the same day that the Film Workers Sangam is being held in Ernakulam under the auspices of FEFCA. The labor meeting was held at the Kadavantra Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium. Mohanlal donned the mantle of director for the first time with the film Burrows. The official launch of the film was announced in April 2019 and was on March 24, 2021. This movie was shot for 170 days. Along with the direction, Mohanlal also plays the titular character of Burrows. 'Burrows' is produced by Anthony Perumbavoor under the banner of Ashirvad Cinemas. Mohanlal is making a film based on the story of Jijo, who directed India's first 3D film 'My Dear Kuttichathan'.
