Argentina: Argentine President Javier Mili plans to lay off 70,000 government workers in the coming months. This is reportedly part of his strategy to achieve a fiscal balance this year at any cost. Milli said yesterday that in addition to the job cuts, public services have been frozen, some funding to provincial governments has been cut and more than 200,000 social welfare programs have been terminated.
