Metta is attempting to make the most of artificial intelligence. WhatsApp, which is owned by Metta, has introduced AI-powered features to address this. The app is currently developing an in-app AI chatbot and photo editor. The WhatsApp feature tracker website Wabetinfo has commented on this.

Meta's AI chatbot will have to compete against ChatGPT and Google's Gemini. WhatsApp, which has billions of users, has introduced AI Chatbot Meta in order to increase the popularity of its new update. According to WabetInfo, the code for AI features was discovered in WhatsApp's Android version 2.24.7.13 update. These services are still under development and cannot be tested by customers at this time. Only codes related to these two features were found.

Wabetinfo has shared a screenshot of how the feature appears on WhatsApp. Meta AI Chatbot is the first AI feature in the Android 2.24.7.14 beta. Similar to ChatGPT, the chatbot is based on Meta's generative AI.

WhatsApp's status update feature was introduced yesterday. The update included upload status for up to one minute. Currently, only 30-second videos can be updated. It is available to some beta testers who have downloaded the most recent WhatsApp beta update for Android from the Google Play Store. According to reports, it will become more widely available in the coming weeks. Users may need to update WhatsApp to view longer videos shared through status updates.
