The incident of Pakistan Airlines flight crew going missing after landing in Canada is a continuation of the story. Many workers have come to Canada and drowned in recent years. According to Pakistan Airlines PIA, at least eight flight attendants have gone missing in Canada in the last one-and-a-half years. A spokesman for the state-owned airline says the employees are believed to have left their jobs and sought asylum in Canada. The crew of the planes that landed at Toronto Pearson International Airport are missing.

For the last 10 years, there has been an incident of employees disappearing. But spokesperson Abdullah Hafeez Khan says that the trend is increasing in recent years. None of the missing crew members have returned. He says the fact that they are getting asylum in Canada encourages others to do the same. Khan says the missing employees were immediately fired from the company and stripped of their benefits.

Canadian authorities have observed that the conditions in Pakistan have prompted them to seek asylum in Canada. The reasons are terrorism, ethnic divisions, sectarian strife, regional political disputes and conditions in neighboring Afghanistan. In addition, airline wages, other benefits, quality of life and other reasons are said to prompt them to flee to Canada.
