Underwater divers in the Fraser River discovered something strange underwater. Divers found multiple stolen vehicles in a deep area of the river. Some of them are thought to have sunk a decade ago. On April 6, after a vehicle was seen disappearing into the river in the middle of the night, the police began an investigation in several parts of the Fraser River. Coquitlam RCMP are investigating the accident near the boat launch at McQuabbeak Park. An RCMP underwater recovery team went into the river to check if the driver was inside the car. The driver was not in the seat. But what they found were some other surprising things.

Divers recovered several vehicles, including a school bus and three cars, from the bottom of the river. The river's depth and poor condition made rivers a convenient place for thieves to hide stolen vehicles in the river. Among the vehicles recovered were a black 2000 Honda Civic stolen in 2010 and a Mazda stolen in 2004. Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
