The vampire facial was one of the most popular beauty enhancement methods in the cosmetic world. More information is now coming out about the vampire facial, which was used to glow at parties and maintain youthfulness. The authorities restarted the investigation after the HIV infection was confirmed in more people who received this facial from a spa that was operating in New Mexico in the United States.

Vampire facial is known as a cost-effective and highly effective cosmetic procedure. For this, blood is collected from a vein in a person's arm and the platelets are separated. They are then injected into the face using very fine needles. Although easy and inexpensive to do, doing it in unsanitary conditions can lead to serious health problems.

In 2018, a person who received a vampire facial at a spa in New Mexico tested positive for HIV. The facility was shut down by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Injections with unsterilized needles were found to be behind the HIV infection. Following this, the New Mexico Department of Health offered free HIV testing to all facialists at the spa.
